finally, the photos, going back to may have been sorted and albums uploaded to jonesnow.  particular favourite images include:

• baby david, progeny of bloing and squodge

• evidence of a week in spain

• the new wembley arch and a flash gordon sky

• view from the top of kinder scout

• detail of a well dressing

well dressings aren't the easiest things to explain, but are basically pictures - often biblical - made out of flowers and leaves pressed in clay boards and placed in front of wells in towns and villages to be thankful for water (it's a fairly old custom).  the completed well dressings are about 6ft high and stay in place for about a week before the petals start to drop off. from may to july you can usually find a well dressing somewhere in the peak district. 

london is still suffering an absence of summer.

update: i thought i'd have a bit of fun and play with blogger's new wysiwyg elements, however it doesn't always seem to work too well with existing template formatting and i've just spent lots of minutes amending formatting.

note to self...

triple chocolate brownies should only be eaten in moderation, not in place of dinner.

i've just eaten one too many as i've spent the evening sorting through a plethora of photos from recent trips, visits and events, the albums should be online later this week.
